Safe, Clean Pathways Built to Last

Concrete walkways and sidewalks serve two purposes — function and curb appeal. A well-designed walkway connects your driveway, entrance, and outdoor spaces with a clean, safe path that adds to your home’s overall look. Pro Concrete Services builds walkways and sidewalks that are properly graded, reinforced, and finished to handle Michigan winters without heaving or cracking.

Whether you need a straight sidewalk along your property line or a curved garden walkway connecting your patio to the backyard, we design to fit your space and build to last.

Can't find your answer? Give us a call.

How wide should a concrete walkway be?

A standard residential walkway is 3 to 4 feet wide - enough for two people to walk comfortably side by side. Front entry walkways leading to a door are often 4 to 5 feet for a more formal look. We'll recommend a width based on your specific layout during the estimate.

Do walkways need reinforcement?

Yes. We use wire mesh reinforcement in all walkways. It significantly reduces the risk of cracking and keeps sections in alignment if any minor settlement occurs.

Can you build a curved walkway?

Absolutely. Curved walkways are one of our most common requests. Forms are shaped to your desired curve radius and the concrete is poured and finished the same way as any straight walkway.

How do I prevent my walkway from becoming slippery in winter?

A broom finish provides the traction surface that prevents slipping in wet or icy conditions. We recommend broom finish for all exterior walkways and sidewalks. Avoid applying certain sealers that can make the surface slick - we'll advise you on the right sealer if you want one applied.

How long does a concrete walkway take to build?

Most residential walkways are completed in one day. Longer or more complex projects may take two days. Foot traffic is safe after 48 hours.
